Post-Traumatic Edema
Post-traumatic edema occurs following an injury or surgery as a result of the body’s normal inflammatory response. The accumulation of fluid in the tissues can cause swelling, pain, stiffness, and limited mobility, affecting daily life and slowing down recovery.
Timely treatment of edema is achieved through Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and is important because it helps reduce pain, improve mobility, and facilitate a faster return to daily activities.
